Instructions on how to play Excutie

Instructions on how to play Excutie

Welcome to this detailed guide on Excutie – one of the most unique and highly anticipated decks in Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel Links. Excutie's signature gameplay revolves around connecting Tier 6 monsters with 500 defense points, featuring a Contact Fusion mechanism to summon the Lumir Frontier.

Powered by the special ability "Lilius Contact," your deck will automatically be supplemented with extremely powerful limited-edition cards right from the start of the game, turning it into a 33-card deck that demands skillful strategy. While sometimes challenging in terms of consistency, with its control/trap-heavy playstyle aimed at flipping enemy formations and pushing opponent's monsters back into their decks, Excutie has the power to clear the board and defeat any opponent if you master its pace.

If you have a face-up Level 6 monster with 500 DEF on your field, you can Special Summon this card from your hand face-up to your field. [REQUIREMENT] None [CONTINUOUS EFFECT] Your Level 7 or higher monsters cannot attack.

This main card is automatically added to the deck via Skill and boasts impressive stats with 2500 attack points and 500 defense points.
If you have a Level 6 monster with 500 face-up defense on the field ( a common condition for all Excutie monsters ), you can immediately Special Summon Lilius from your hand to create significant pressure. However, the continuous effect of this card will prevent you from attacking with monsters of Level 7 or higher.

If you have no monsters on your field, you can Special Summon this card from your hand face-up to your field. [REQUIREMENT] None [EFFECT] Shuffle 1 face-up Level 6 monster on your field and 1 face-up Level 7 or 8 monster on your opponent's field into the owners' Decks. This turn, your Level 7 or higher monsters cannot attack.

This is a perfect starter card with a similar mechanism to Cyber Dragon: if your field is empty, you can Special Summon it directly from your hand.
The most terrifying aspect of Lumir is his ability to shuffle one of your Tier 6 monsters and one of your opponent's Tier 7 or 8 monsters back into their deck. Players often exploit this effect to shuffle a low-value monster (like Plawtie) back into their deck to eliminate a large monster from the opponent's deck, while keeping Lumiere on the field as material for Contact Fusion.

[REQUIREMENT] During the turn you Normal Summoned this card. [EFFECT] Add 1 Level 6 non-WATER Attribute monster with 500 DEF from your Graveyard to your hand. This turn, your Level 7 or higher monsters cannot attack.

Floa is the most important resource retrieval tool in the deck. When Normal Summoned (the effect is not activated if summoned with a spell), Floa allows you to retrieve a Tier 6 (non-Water) monster with 500 defense from your Graveyard to your hand. This card is a crucial link to recycle Lilius or Lumir, setting the stage for subsequent combo chains.

If you have a face-up Level 6 monster with 500 DEF on your field, you can Special Summon this card from your hand face-up to your field. [REQUIREMENT] None [CONTINUOUS EFFECT] Face-up Level 7 or higher monsters on the field lose 300 ATK/DEF.

Similar to Lilius, Leia can be Special Summoned directly from your hand if your field already has a Tier 6 monster with 500 defense. Leia's presence reduces the attack and defense of all Tier 7 and higher monsters on the field by 300. If you summon two Leias, this 600 reduction will make it easier to defeat your opponent's giant monsters, even when they are in face-down position.

You can Special Summon this card from your hand face-up to your field by revealing 1 other Level 6 monster with 500 DEF in your hand. [REQUIREMENT] Send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard. [EFFECT] Gain 500 LP.

It functions as an incredibly versatile bait card. By revealing another Tier 6 monster with 500 Defense in your hand, you can Special Summon it to the field. The effect of sending the top card from your deck to the Graveyard and restoring 500 Life Points is sometimes key to inadvertently sending Lilius or Lumir to the Graveyard, waiting for an opportunity to use Spell Summon them to perform a Fusion.

Ram is an effective backline clearing tool but requires Sacrificial Summoning. By sending a Level 6 monster with 500 defense from your hand to the Graveyard, you have the power to destroy one of your opponent's Spell or Trap cards. It's best to play only one copy and try to send it to the Graveyard early, so you can flexibly summon it back to life with its resurrection effects when needed.

As a full member of the Excutie family, Lucy (Level 6) is a Ground-type monster with a familiar 1700 attack and 500 defense. By shuffling a Level 6 monster with 500 defense from the Graveyard into your deck, you can change a monster's battle stance on your opponent's field (from attack to defense or vice versa). This ability is great for both recycling lost resources and forcing your opponent's large monsters to reveal their stat weaknesses.

If you Special Summoned "Specter of Heaven's End" by this effect, you can also shuffle up to 2 cards from your opponent's Graveyard into the Deck.

  • Specter of Heaven's End is a Tier 3 monster of the Zombie type, Dark. Its effect is completely free to activate: you can dig up the top 3 cards of your deck, choose 1 to send directly to the Graveyard, and shuffle the remaining cards back into your deck. This is an incredibly versatile Graveyard mill and is widely used in many Rush Duel decks that require Graveyard resources.

  • Specter of Heaven's Beginning , paired with "End," is "Beginning"—a Tier 3 Zombie monster of the Light type. While it can assist in summoning Zombie monsters from the Graveyard, its core value lies in its Fusion potential. You'll use it with "Specter of Heaven's End" to Contact Fusion into " Spectress of Heaven's Eternity ," a main monster capable of directly attacking your opponent's life points without taking reflected damage.

  • Enigmatic Princess of Eternal Heaven is also an extremely dangerous Fusion monster. The most terrifying aspect of this princess is her ability to directly attack your opponent's Life Points (LP). This card acts as a perfect and unexpected finishing move, especially useful when your opponent has set up a defense of massive monsters that you can't penetrate with normal ATK.

[REQUIREMENT] None [CONTINUOUS EFFECT] This card gains ATK equal to [the original ATK of 1 monster Tributed for the Tribute Summon of this card in Attack Position] x 2.

This is a Tier 6 Legend Monster with extremely high damage output. Although the stats printed on the card are 0 Attack / 0 Defense, its continuous effect dictates that the card's attack power will be doubled (x2) by the original attack power of the sacrificed monster . This means that if you simply sacrifice a monster with 1600 ATK, Great Maju Garzett will instantly transform into a destructive machine with 3200 attack power, easily crushing even massive Maximum monsters.

As a Tier 3 Psychic monster, Rhythmical Performer was once considered a powerful staple due to its control-oriented abilities. By sending your top card to the Graveyard, you force your opponent to send their top card to the Graveyard as well. If your opponent's discarded card is a Spell/Trap card, you immediately draw one more card.

This monster is perfectly suited to a trap-oriented playstyle. When your deck is constantly faceing down your opponent's threats with Shiny Shady or Capture, Harvey will be the one to finish them off and destroy those face-down monsters. Additionally, its ability to peek at your opponent's back-row cards allows you to plan safely or decide whether or not to use Ram to destroy them.

Although not named Excutie, this monster adds great versatility to the Main Deck. It can choose to increase your entire team's attack by 500 or decrease an enemy monster's stats by 800. Furthermore, having a low-level monster in your hand makes it easy to summon it as a sacrifice to summon Floa when needed.

[REQUIREMENT] During your Main Phase that you Fusion Summoned this card. [EFFECT] Shuffle 1 face-up monster from your opponent's field into the owner's Deck.

This is a Contact Fusion monster that is automatically loaded directly into your Extra Deck at the start of the match thanks to its " Lilius Contact " ability. By combining the two materials, Lumiere and Lilius, that are already on the field, you will summon a main monster with a massive attack power of up to 2800 points.
Right in the Main Phase where this card is successfully Fusion Summoned, its effect allows you to directly select one of your opponent's face-up monsters and return it to their deck, helping you clear threats extremely effectively.

However, you need to be aware of a few limitations : this card return effect only activates during the turn it's fused (it won't work if revived from the Graveyard), it's completely harmless against face-down monsters or Spell/Trap cards, and its 2800 ATK will inadvertently become a huge amount of health regeneration for your opponent if this card steps on a Shiny Shady trap.

The core strength of CAN:D LIVE lies in its two incredibly flexible effect options. Option one: You accept taking 2000 damage yourself, in exchange for all of your opponent's face-up monsters having their attack power reduced by 3000, allowing you to easily sweep the board. Option two: You recover 1000 Life Points and have the option to directly revive a Level 7 or higher Psychic monster from the Graveyard onto the field to increase pressure.

For the cost of sending just one card from your hand to the Graveyard, Whispark Fairy Girl offers incredible control: you can shuffle up to two monsters from your opponent's Graveyard back into their deck (completely disrupting any Graveyard-based strategies). Immediately afterward, all of your opponent's face-up monsters will have their ATK reduced by 500 for the rest of their turn. This 500 ATK reduction is significant in a Rush Duel environment, giving your monsters a decisive advantage in the battle.

This card is a specialized Revive tool that allows you to summon back any Excutie monster from the Graveyard. While slightly inconvenient (as Floa requires Normal Summoning to activate its effect, and Lumiere Frontier loses its shuffle effect when summoned from the Graveyard), this card is perfect for bringing Lumiere or Lilius back onto the field in preparation for Contact Fusion.

                    How to play/Combo

                    Gameplay Overview

The Excutie deck in this version is heavily focused on board control combined with a dense array of trap cards . Because the " Lilius Contact " skill automatically adds cards, causing the deck to swell to 33 cards without providing any active search tools, your gameplay will depend heavily on your defensive skills and resource management.

Your core objective in each turn is to survive the pressure from your opponent by using powerful Trap cards like Shiny Shady , Excutie Capture , or Widespread Ruin to slow down the game and force your opponent's monsters face down. When it's your turn, you'll unleash your power by continuously summoning Excutie monsters ( thanks to the extremely easy Special Summon mechanism ), then clear the board using two main methods: returning your opponent's monsters to their deck or directly destroying their face-down monsters .

                    Detailed Combo Guide

                    1. Resource-Optimized Combo (Floa Loop) : This is a basic combo sequence that helps you set up the game without running out of cards in your hand.

                    • Activate Excutie Plawtie 's effect, revealing another Tier 6/500 DEF monster in hand to Special Summon Plawtie to the field.

                    • Use Plawtie as a sacrifice to Normal Summon Excutie Floa .

                    • Activate Floa's effect ( only effective when Normal Summoned ) to retrieve Plawtie from the Graveyard back into your hand.

                    • Since Floa (Level 6 / 500 DEF) is already on the field, Special Summon Plawtie from your hand once more to increase the number of monsters.

                    2. Double Board Clear Combo (returns 2 monsters to deck) This combo chain maximizes the power of Lumiere and the Contact Fusion mechanic to disrupt the opponent's team composition.

                    • When your field is empty, you Special Summon Excutie Lumiere straight from your hand.

                    • Summon an additional support monster (such as Plawtie) to the field.

                    • Activate Lumiere's effect: Choose to shuffle your Plawtie monster and one of your opponent's powerful Tier 7 or 8 monsters back into their deck. (Keep Lumiere on the field).

                    • Since Lumir (Level 6 / 500 DEF) is currently on the field, you are allowed to Special Summon Excutie Lilius from your hand.

                    • Fusion is achieved by sending Lumir and Lilius to the Graveyard to summon the Excutie Lumir Frontier main machine.

                    • During that turn, activate Lumir Frontier's effect to shuffle one of your opponent's face-up monsters into their deck.

                    3. Flip Face Down and Destroy Combo (Counter-Large Monsters) This is the perfect strategy to deal with Maximum monsters or enemies that cannot be shuffled back into your deck (e.g., Level 9 and above).

                    • During your opponent's turn, use traps like Excutie Capture or Shiny Shady to force their main monsters into face-down defense. (You can also use the Curse spell during your turn to flip your own monster face-down.)

                    • It's your turn to summon the monster Allseeing Harvey onto the field.

                    • Activate Harvey's effect, target your opponent's prone monster, and instantly and cleanly destroy it.
